Welcome to the AI Artificial Intelligence Certificate Program!
The AI, Artificial Intelligence Certificate is issued upon the successful completion of 15 Semester Credits/Units. Courses include those designed specifically for the certificate program and those from a list of participant-selected qualifying courses. Courses range from 2 to 3 semester graduate-level credits/units. All certificate courses provide hands-on assignments developed by experienced technology instructors. Instructor feedback and peer interaction is built into the certificate program. The program strongly supports many CCSS and all ISTE standards for students and teachers.

Required Certificate Courses:
- EDUO 9394 AI Leadership 2 Semester Credits/Units (must be taken first in the series of courses
- EDUO 9397 Capstone Course (must be taken last in the series of courses) 2 Semester Credits/Units
- EDUO 9398 Critically Assessing AI Content 2 Semester Credits/Units
EDUO 9371 Next Gen Teaching with AI Tools 2 Semester Credits/Units - EDUO 9399 Generative AI Chats 2 Semester Credits/Units
EDUO 9394 and EDUO 9397 are required courses to earn your AI Artificial Intelligence Certificate. You must also complete a minimum of 5 Semester Credits/Units from any of the courses below:
- EDUO 9084: Empowering Students to Engage in Online Communities 2 Semester Credits/Units
- EDUO 9385: Transforming Classrooms with Game-Based Learning 2 Semester Credits/Units
- EDUO 9188: Bringing Media Literacy into the K-12 Classroom 2 Semester Credits/Units
- EDUO 9152 Using Technology to Support Authentic Learning (book purchase required) 2 Semester Credits/Units
- EDUO 9373: AI Literacy for Educators or EDUO 9374: AI Literacy for California Educators 3 Semester Credits/Units
- EDUO 9368 Google Drive and Gemini AI 3 Semester Credits/Units
- EDUO 9355 Enhancing Learning with Quizlet 3 Semester Credits/Units
- EDUO 9917 Brain-Based Tools for the Classroom 3 Semester Credits/Units
If you took any of the technology courses above during 2025, your course credits will qualify toward your AI Certificate.
