The book required for all courses in this series is How to Teach Thinking Skills Within the Common Core by James Bellanca, Robin Fogarty, & Brian Pete, Solution Tree (June 15, 2012).
The content learned in this class, Cognitive Transfer, will prepare you to teach your students how to transfer learning from one setting to another, allowing the information to be used in various school disciplines and real-life scenarios. To do this, learned information must be synthesized into an overall meaning or category, appropriately generalized into other contexts, and applied to new situations.

EDUO 9825: Creative Thinking
Embedded in the Common Core State Standards is an overarching idea of creativity and innovation. It has been said that innovation can only occur when creative thought has been put into action. To do so, one must learn how to generate ideas, associate or link them to other ideas, and create a hypothesis. The content learned in the class, Creative Thinking, will help you teach your students how to demonstrate authentic evidence of what they have learned across disciplines. In turn, your students will grow up solving problems and making decisions effectively.
