EDUO 9527: Water Conservation - Classroom Projects
To complete this course, you will develop a Triple A (Awareness, Action and Accountablity) project based teaching program to address the need for conserving the planet's water supply. You will notice that you are not given specific activities or even a direction to follow. Our purpose is to give you resources and time and leave the designing of the program entirely up to you. The needs of every classroom and community may be different. We hope that you will look for ways to engage not only your students but their families, friends and neighbors.
The class participant will:
- With the help of given resources, develop age appropriate classroom lessons designed to create awareness of the increasing water shortage and its implications.
- Show how students will be motivated to actively inform their school, their family and community about the need to conserve the planet's water resources.
- Create among the students a sense of individual accountability for what they can reasonably do to help conserve their own water usage.

EDUO 9528: Water Conservation - Schoolwide Projects
The purpose of this class is to encourage teachers to provide leadership for a school (or district) wide project to bring a greater awareness, and sense of activism and accountability to the entire school community relating to water conservation.
You will notice that you are not given specific activities or even a direction to follow. Our purpose is to give you resources and time and leave the designing of the program entirely up to you and your school or district. The needs of every school and community will be different. We hope that you will look for ways to engage not only your students and staff but their families, friends and neighbors.

EDUO 9529: Water Conservation - Community Outreach Projects
The purpose of this class is to help teachers encourage their schools to become pro active in the quest for the community to conserve water resources.
You will notice that you are not given specific activities or even a direction to follow. Our purpose is to give you resources, accountability and time and leave the designing of the program entirely up to you and your school or district. The needs of every school and community will be different. We hope that you will look for ways to engage not only your students and staff but their families, friends and neighbors.
The participant will actively help direct the school into participating in the following:
- 1. Community awareness programs about the need to conserve water.
- 2. Promoting community (or global) programs of action whereby water is conserved.
- 3. Communicating the results of successful community programs that the school helped promote regarding water conservation.
