Examine your role as a Teacher Association/Union Representative, read and understand the Collective Bargaining Agreement/Teacher Contract, and at the end of this course reflect on what went well and what you would do differently as a Teacher Association/Union Representative.
EDUO 9905 Working with Teachers and Administrators
Communicate effectively with teachers and administrators in your role as a Teacher Association/Union Representative. Plan your year-long meetings with teachers and administrators in your building, create PowerPoints, emails and other communications regarding association/union business, and reflect on what communications were effective and what communication changes might be beneficial in the future.
EDUO 9906 Building Relationships with District Personnel and the Community
Build relationships with your school, district personnel and the community. Plan and create communications with your school, district personnel and the community that will help build solid relationships and a positive perception of the Teacher Association/Union. Help develop a project that will benefit students, families and the community, resulting in a more favorable outlook of the work being done by the Teacher Association/Union. Reflect on your success in the communications and project you worked on during the school year as a Teacher Association/Union Representative.
