Coaches must continually strive to accept all of their student/athletes unconditionally. Here we will examine the question of how we accept our students/ athletes. Is it for how well they perform, their size, how coachable they are, how they do in academics, their sexual orientation or some other yardstick we may choose? Coaches will be asked to contrast and compare performance with effort. The class will help you develop a philosophy of accepting all young people for they are, not what they can do.
