Understand trauma and its effects in the classroom setting.  Examine the types of trauma, causes of trauma and the effects of trauma students’ experience.  Collaborate with a coworker(s) on ways to best support students who have experienced trauma and determine what key pieces of information you will share with others in the workplace.  Begin developing a trauma sensitive classroom that will meet the need of all students.
