EDUO 9396: Bridging the Gap – From Professional Development to Practice
This course is designed to support educators in transforming newly acquired knowledge from district-sponsored professional development (PD) into meaningful classroom practices. Teachers will engage in reflection, strategic planning, and implementation to bridge the gap between learning and doing. The course provides time, structure, and support for processing PD content and applying it in an instructional setting—ultimately resulting in improved teaching and student outcomes.
This course guides educators through a four-part cycle:
1. Dissect → 2. Design → 3. Deliver → 4. Reflect & Collaborate
Each step ensures that professional development isn't just learned — it’s implemented, tested, and evolved through classroom use.
